"The hot tub jets were not functioning, which left it as a warm soaking tub. Two maintenance staff didn’t appear to know what was wrong with it and when it would be fixed. The hotel should consider putting in cheap and easy to operate Cuisinart waffle makers instead of the more complicated waffle maker that is in place. When we asked why it wasn’t cleaned they said all but two of the housekeeping staff called in sick. "I’m sure it was a very nice hotel at one time, but it has not been maintained or cleaned properly. There is an odor in the room and the main area. The main area where the pool is was very hot as all the room air conditioning was vented in there. Our room was unclean, there was hair and dried soap in the bathroom, a wet used kitchen sponge in the kitchenette with dried mustard on the counter. "Located far from any amenities or shops. It was fairly comfortable, but the kitchen lacked many tools for making our simple dinners such as tongs or a pairing knife. There seem to be a lot of rules around eating and cooking smells that I haven’t seen in other places. The pool was quite small and the hot tub did not work properly. It wasn’t terrible, but I would not consider staying here again."
