"The checkin was well communicated via email and totally virtual. We had no interaction with any staff. The room was nice but, despite a sign on the bathroom door, a very small step from the bedroom to the bathroom resulted in painful toes as both my wife and I stubbed them on the step. We were in the ‘Deer’ room which is on the third floor. Carrying our luggage up three staircases and narrow corridors was very difficult - there is no lift! "We had a wonderful stay at this b and b which is in a beautiful setting. The hosts Sarah and Paul went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were very good with lots of choices and catered well for my gluten free needs."

"We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. "

"Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden."
