"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access. Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own. Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. No intention of taking our own drink but felt like Stalag 13 with cameras watching everyone. The wedding was excellent but not a place I would...

"The hotel was lovely all round from the staff, the food and the marquee. The breakfast and buffet food were really nice. We were given a room next to the marquee which was a great location for us as we attending the wedding reception. The room was lovely and even had a fenced private patio’s area accessed directly from the roof through French doors which was an unexpected surprise. The grounds are also lovely. "Fabulous stay. Lovely, spacious, spotless twin room with very clean, modern en suite. Everywhere is extremely clean and very well maintained. Plenty of parking and a fantastic outside area for sunny days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Generous meal portions and absolutely delicious! We joined in the quiz night and were even greeted warmly (and helped!) by the locals. We will definitely be staying again!"

"Room a little tired, bathroom had a number of things needing repair, eg. Toilet roll holder, drainage for bath. Room was also a little hot and AC not very effective… outside temp was 23 degrees or so… so when heatwave hits it will be overly warm in room to get a good night’s sleep. Staff very friendly, and hotel atmosphere was good. Didn’t try food - dinner or breakfast, nor tried gym, so cannot comment on those.
