"Although we ubered there from the airport, it was quick walk (5 minutes) from the Beachmont train station, which was the easiest way to get in and out of Boston for our day trips. "The room’s door was open and lights were on when I checked-in in the middle of night. It was so creepy, someone had used a stopper to kept the door open. All the lights were on. It is the kind of room that connects to another room with the door from both side. I did not want to go in, but it was almost 1am in the morning and I have to leave at 5 am, so I just slept with my clothes on, kept all the lights on all night and got out there first dawn."

"The property was very convenient to everything in Salem including the short walk to the commuter rail depot to Boston. Our room and the bathroom were very small, which was disappointing since we stayed there 5 nights. When we checked in I asked the desk attendant if we could get a bigger room and she told me I should have done this request with Expedia prior to checking in. I was ot happy with her attitude and unresponsiveness. In summary it is a great historic hotel and very convenient."
