Hotel dekat High Ropes Oxford

"Great country space. Loved the location but would suggest trying to get there before dark to make it easier to find. Comfortable bed, quiet location, great access to walking trails and not too far into the town. Easy commute to Oxford, either park and ride or bus. Great facilities in the cottage."

"The Railway Inn is a small hotel, over a pub that closes reasonably early and literally next to the train lines. The barkeep is also the hotel staff and the breakfast cook. She is terrific and lively. My room was on the second floor - spacious with two excellent twin beds, comfortable bedding and kettle, cookies, etc. They would like entry by 22.00 which I did not see in the ad, so I arrived later and she directed me to reach my room, which she had left open. The breakfast is cooked to order...

"A good value property and comfortable with all we needed for a short stay. We appreciated the items left for making breakfast and good communication/information from the owner. We found it ideal for visiting Oxford with just a short drive to Park and Ride."

"Lovely property, definitely not a hotel for anyone with physical challenges due to steep narrow winding stairs and no elevator. Delicious golden syrup shortbread treats in the room daily. Super kind and helpful staff that pre-arranged our pick-up and return to the airport at a fixed price of 125 pounds."

"Ganz wunderbares altes Pub, sehr authentisch, hervorragendes Frühstück. Einziges Manko war tatsächlich dass wir in der große Hitzewelle im Juni dort waren und natürlich diese alten Häuser nicht klimatisiert sind. Es war sehr heiß und der kleine Ventilator im Zimmer konnte dagegen kaum etwas ausrichten."

"Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. "

"Lovely modern and clean hotel, delicious hot breakfast with many choices. Great location, perfect stay for family of 3."

"We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but unfortunately the stay was less impressive. Having booked a room for 3 it was set up for 2 with just 2 towels, 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 1 tea bag. At breakfast we waited 50 minutes for our cooked breakfast with no apology or explanation. When it finally arrived we asked if we could have some toast with it only to be told that they do not do toast with the English Breakfast! The tea was lukewarm and had to be returned and the 'fresh' orange juice was...

"Very happy with everything"

"Right next to the river and the restaurant, which is a very well run and picturesque restaurant. Fantastic breakfast, we dined right on the river. Something to watch out for though is if you’re an arachnophobe, you may have some issues. Being close to the river, the rooms can attract rather large spiders. Other than that, it’s amazing! I highly recommend it."
