"We stayed in eight different hotels during our two week trip to the UK and this was by far our favorite because we booked a private in Japan cabin on the water. It was brand new and perfectly maintained and you could tell the owners really care. I can’t over emphasize how highly I am reading everything for this property, especially if you book the private cabins. Our next trip, we will make sure we stay here again!"

"Our experience at the Royal Guest House in Dingwall was disappointing. The rooms themselves were acceptable, but the overall organisation was poor. When we arrived, we were given keys to two rooms, only to discover that one of them had not been cleaned. We had to return to reception to get another room key, and unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. To make matters worse, there was no hot water in our room. We were told to use the shower in another room...

"This was a centrally located bed and breakfast in a lovely old home. The room was very small and there was no desk or anywhere to sit other than one chair. The bathroom was well equipped and breakfast was good. I might have been the only guest so it was very quiet - but very convenient to the ferry terminal just 7 miles away."

"Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful breakfast and here’s to The Famous Elizabeth."

"Lovely hotel in great location with nice restaurant and good breakfast options - recommend"

"On s’est senti comme à la maison. Morven & Simon sont des hôtres et en or."

"We absolutely loved staying here. It was a peaceful and beautiful place with so much history and character. The room was so nice, it was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh baked breads were perfect. Manuela, our host was helpful, kind and friendly. She was a delight and helped make our trip special. We cannot wait to stay at The Cawdor House on our next trip. 10/10 stars"

"Worked"

"Good place to stay. It was clean and in a convenient location. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the sound proofing. I believe people may live above floor two and they stayed up walking around until after midnight. Wouldn’t be a problem at all except there is no sound proofing in the room I was in. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and would recommend."

"There was parking on site and a homemade breakfast. The owners were also flexible with our plans."

"Bonne localisation. Chambre démesurément petite (à peine de la place pour les bagages). Salle de bain minuscule et besoin de rénovation). On avait l'impression de déranger la personne en arrivant à l’hotel, croissant sec dans la boîte à lunch du petit déjeuner. Je ne recommande pas."

"This is a fairly new property and this is reflected in the modern decor, and clean & smart set up. No staff on site but arrangements communicated beforehand in terms of property access and room key collection were faultless. Parking on site so no issues with proximity. We did not have breakfast (book and pay separately if required). River runs behind the property so soothing sound of running (nay rushing) water throughout. Only issue was the green light (fire regs ?) meant the room was not dark...

"Nice , quiet guest house in a beautifully scenic setting. A rocky beach and sea about 100 yards away."
