"For some reason I was given a disability adapted room, and although it was lovely and comfortable and large, spacious etc, the bathroom sink was too low for me and also too small, and the seat in the shower was in the way but the fact it was ground floor suited my needs and don’t really have a negative impact on my stay as we stated for evening meal and breakfast. The evening meal was superb and the staff were excellent and very helpful. "

"First stay and had a twin room. £44. The building and interior is quaint and quirky. To some extent it reminded me of my great nans house, with the old black round light switches and 'old' smell. Suits of armour, croquette set, tapestry rocker chair. The rooms had the heating on so lovely and warm on a chilly evening. Boiling hot water for a bath with complementary gel. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Fair size room. Asked for more tea as only 2 bags in the room. Really welcoming...

"It is my second time staying at bloc hotel apartments and its always a pleasure. The staff are A+ very welcoming i had 2 heavy bags and one of the staff members asked if i needed any help taking bags to my room as i was second floor he went out of his way and it much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and i would recommend friends and family to stay here if they need accommodation when coming from out of towm. A+ staff and stay thank you"

"After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual...
