"We visit every Christmas and the condition of the hotel gets better and better each visit. So good to see a property being invested in and maintained. The rooms, staff, food and bar are really excellent. Only very minor gripe - some smoked salmon at breakfast would be nice."

"Friendly helpful staff, and a large clean room, the cleaning team were all friendly and helpful too. Shout out to the lady who made me a coffee - without asking, when I was working on my laptop in the bar area - very thoughtful - it was appreciated.
The house and setting are beautiful, could do with a little updating in places."

"The staff were very welcoming & friendly. The lady at reception saved me a trip to Aldi when I realised I had forgotten my toothbrush by given me a complimentary one. The only downside was the lift was out of order and my room was on the top floor. Luckily, I only had a small suitcase to carry up the 49 winding steps."
