The property has a great location but it's state is bad. Hard to understand why a owner would let such a place so run down.

To tell you the truth i was waiting for a truck load of plywood and some guys to come by and start boarding up all the windows....everything is totally worn out..the room was clean but worn out..the big tubs are all shut down...most of the shutters are screwed almost shut ...the staff were very friendly because they are so embarrassed that they work there but can't do much for you....it is cheap and you get what you pay for....the pool next door is beautiful.

Location is good here and we enjoyed it again unfortunately the hotel was very busy and we had to take an alternative room, which was fine location but it was tired to the extent the AC gave up on day five of six and did not get fixed till we were leaving on the last day. Generally the rooms are tired and need an overhaul but we knew that was the situation and accepted it.

Heritage with a problem

A resort with a "Heritage" - Location gives good access to the beach and to nearby shopping and eating facilities. The rundown condition of the resort leaves a lot to be desired. It shows the lack of investment by the owners over many years. Full credit to the local staff for making the stay comfortable despite the rundown condition. Luxurious it isn't

Overbooked!

We didn’t actually stay here as it was overbooked! We only found this out when we arrived, even though they had made a reservation elsewhere some days beforehand. There was no one from reception to discuss it with us. A poor lady from security had been left to carry the can of discussing the issue. I believe a number of other people had been left in a similar predicament. The alternative accommodation was significantly cheaper and there was no explanation of how to reclaim the difference between the two. On contacting hotels.com they swiftly resolved this, but feel that Divi’s handling of their overbooking error was poor. It is a great location on the edge of Holetown, so you can get to all the bars & restaurants. However, I’d be very reluctant to consider staying there again given the overbooking debate. Although I would highly commend hotels.com for the swift resolution of the cost difference.

Property is rather run down and in need of renovations. There is potential to make it a lovely resort as the rooms are spacious. The staff are kind and helpful. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped.

This place is in a beautiful spot on the ocean front (although it's not really a lie-on-the-beach spot). The property is a little run down and there's no amenities - it's more a self-service apartment than hotel, which is great if that's what you're looking for. Great basic accommodation in close walking distance to beachfront bars and some restaurants/cafes. And the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in a while.

The only thing I liked was the location. The property looks nothing like the website. Everything is outdated and there was no hot water to shower with. Towels and the only curtain (that was in the bedroom) were old and stained. I could barely open the doors to the balcony. They website shows a hot tub but when I asked I was told they got rid of that years ago. This place isn’t a resort it more like apartments. It’s nothing even close to Divi Southwinds. I wouldn’t go back.

We were there for less than 24 hours before checking out. There were no towels, the tap in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off, there was no hot water, the toilet didn’t flush, there was a smell of sewage outside the front door, the air-con was on 16 degrees with no remote control to turn off and there was no doona/rug on the bed so we were freezing all night. We request a refund for the 3 nights we didn’t stay there. Will reluctantly pay for the 1 night we stayed.

We were right on the ocean and the sunsets were beautiful. It was a 2 star at best. The exception was the very friendly and helpful security person named Angela.

Expedia are our “go to” holiday provider/agent. We’ve been loyal customers of yours for over 10 years now, spending thousands with you and your partner organisations. We regularly recommend you to our family, friends and colleagues as we regularly receive exceptional service. However, surprisingly for us, our experience at Divi Heritage did not live up to previous experiences of holidaying with you. Given the images and write up in the advert we were seriously let down by the accommodation. Had we known the condition of the room we would never have booked this hotel and would not recommend anyone to stay there. Sadly, there were no towels in the room - I had to ask for them *and* when we returned after our evening out they had not been delivered. We had none. Cupboard doors were missing. Then fridge was damaged and rusting. The bathrm taps fell away from the wall when turned on. The hot tub was dirty, tap didn’t work. There were large gaps all around the doors and windows allowing mosquitos in and the shutters were not closeable - we had to put bedsheets up at the doors and windows to try to help and keep the air con on coldest setting. There was only 1 tiny lumpy pillow each and no additional blankets. Handles were missing on cupboards. Lamp shade missing and light bulbs blown. Safe battery so low it didn’t work. This was the worst experience we have had booking a hotel with you and feel strongly that the hotel was misrepresented ruining our NYE experience.

It is a quiet and close to a good beach. The staff are helpful. Don’t expect too much with amenities. The rooms are spacious but have limited furnishings and appliances are showing signs of age, but overall we liked its location and will return.
