"The property was historic. Loved the charm. The bed was very nice and we slept well. Small town Indiana at its best. Sauerkraut balls at the Bier Garden were great and we enjoyed the live music. Thanks for a great weekend with no kids."

"The room was musty smelling and everything felt damp. The carpeting was so filthy it was almost sticky feeling on your bare feet. Bathroom was clean but did not fill the toilet paper up. Left nearly empty rolls and no extras. It advertises a pool but there is no pool. The ice from the ice machine tasted terrible. Most of the front desk staff we encounter did not hardly speak or understand English. I do not recommend this place and we will not be staying there again. I would sleep in my car...

"This hotel was great! The self check-in made getting to our room super easy. Our room was spacious and clean. Convenient location within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Main street. Not to mention the interesting history of the building itself. We loved it!"

"This property has a lot of character and amazing views. It’s not a new or fancy place but it was clean and it’s a great location. We were checked in by Kathy who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and had a lovely balcony with a small table and two chairs. We really enjoyed sitting out there and looking at the river, bridge and downtown. "I feel this room was overpriced for what the condition of the room was.,Just an o.k place to stay. Rooms was dated with with chipped furniture , scruffed table, door and trim edges, etc. The swivel chair in the room was wobbly and hard to sit on. Room smelled musty and took awhile for the air conditioner to get the room to a comfortable level. If you want just a place to sleep and can get past the issues, it's an o.k place to stay."
