"Some of the positive reviews are likely from week-days. NEVER go here in the weekend. Your room is above the hotel's pub that makes your stay unbearable. It is not just people having a drink, but actively partying and shouting with a dj. This place should not be listed as a hotel. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. "

"We had an amazing stay. We were in The Coquet room and it was just gorgeous. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent. The breakfast was superb, we both opted for the full english and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Check in was easy and straightforward."

"Loved our long weekend at the Black Bull. Very busy pub, but as we were on the second floor no noise issues. Smashing Sunday lunch and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady behind the bar who checked us in. Only issue was no lift and the stairs are quite steep, so definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Would not hesitate to recommend and will stay again. "
