"We absolutely loved our stay! The river view was nothing short of amazing. The property has a beautiful trail that leads to an overlook where you can take in the entire river valley, and if you continue a little farther, there’s an even older, rocky overlook that is absolutely breathtaking. The views were truly stunning and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The landscaping with flowers and rock art all below a canopy of trees. We also loved the little thoughtful touches throughout...

"The Hood River Hotel had some good aspects and some not so good aspects. The staff was super nice and helpful, 5 stars! The location is also very good, right downtown near shops and restaurants. The building is old and historic so it has charm but its not comfortable to stay in. The rooms don't have climate control and rely on space heaters and window AC units. The beds could use some new mattresses. The overall furnishings of the hotel, is sort of shabby chic which looks good but isn't...

"The best part of this hotel was definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We loved hearing the spooky ghost stories and lore! That said, we felt the property itself could really use some TLC. The first room we were given was definitely not up to the standard we would expect for the price. It was tiny, cramped, and had no furniture for storage of our belongings. There was a desk and one large chair, which we ended up using just to hold our things....

"I arrived at the hotel on September 24 at around 12:30pm after a LONG motorcycle journey. The maintenance representative approached me with a smile and a beautiful greeting and welcomed me to the property. He stated that the rooms were not ready yet, but hung out and talked with me for a little bit and made me feel very welcome and at home. His girlfriend/wife, (head of housekeeping) as well as the front desk clerk all welcomed me to the property and made me feel like family. The room was...
