"Overall, our stay was exactly what we needed. Family (14 total) stayed overnight for a wedding and basically needed a place to change and sleep. More importantly, the kids wanted a pool to swim. The location, pool and breakfast in the mornings were perfect. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Everyone raved about the black out blinds. Traveling, we aways forget or need something, and Walmart was right across the street among the myriads of fast food places including DD and Starbucks and even a Menards. The greatest strength of this hotel IMO was the staff. They are OUTSTANDING. I had to call numerous times to confirm, change and cancel reservations due to sick children, adding rooms, etc. It all was handled with friendliness and ease. They were very accommodating in early check-ins and late check-outs. We travel a lot. This AmericInn was the least fancy and not upgraded as others. I think it was a Motel 8 prior, but the staff made it a great experience, plus it was economical for our entire family. The Wi-fi is a little touchy and I needed to call down to get password. If I really needed it, I would have investigated it further. It initially said I had to pay unless I signed up for some points thing. Ummm no. There is only one vending machine on the first floor and ice machine was not working. But again, there is a decent size mini fridge (not college dorm size) and microwave in room."

"Unless you count yogurt, breakfast had no protein...no eggs, no meat. Instant coffee in buffet just as bad as packets in the room. Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. Only fresh fruit was oranges. Heard one older gentleman say, "they couldn't even throw me a sausage!" The sink faucet in room need two hands and a hard pull to turn on. Loose riser on second floor riser significant safety hazard. Upside, room was very clean."

"No where does it say that when you go to check into hotel that they ask you for a deposit for the room. On the website it gives you a choice to accept or deny buying the room protection for smoking and cleaned status when leave. The blankets and sheets were stained and the breakfast was confusing and not a good selection of foods to eat like other hotels. Also the vending machine with snacks in it was not working with cash or card. We enjoyed the pool but the overall stay was very very disappointing. I have never given a place a bad review before cuz me as a parent I am not very picky but there was just to much this time "

"Very pleasant stay only thing was that they are changing over to a new key system and we had to get a new key four times within the first 12 hours as they keys would stop working. Hotel was clean,quiet and staff was very nice and helpful."

"Room was clean and one night stay was fine, but this is definitely not a holiday inn or hilton hotel and I don’t think i’d want to spend a week here. Beds were ok and there is a full size refrigerator in the room, but that’s about it. No ice maker in entire hotel, no shampoo or kleenex in the room, but it was also much cheaper than any of the other hotels in the area during this time, so it depends what you’re looking for. Staff was nice and hotel was very clean. "
