"We had a good stay at Compass Cove. The units are getting a bit tired looking, but overall, we had fun and our room overlooked the beach, as promised. We had a couple minor issues with our room and the front desk dealt with them quickly. The corridors can be noisy at times and noise from above rooms is noticable. Next time, we'll look for something quieter, north of all the hoopla."

"Ok I will be completely honest, do not I repeat do not look at the picture's. Take the pictures and add about 15 years worth of age on top of it. First and foremost the setup of the resort is very confusing. There is two separate buildings far apart from each other and there is no telling what building you are in until you check in. And in the second building there is no staff to help you so if you need help you have to go way down the road to get it. Secondly what’s presented in the pictures is just not the case anymore. The building is old and worn down and needs maintenance badly. As far as the rooms, we had the two bedroom suite in the second building. parking was good and ample. The room was clean and had everything you need. The beds were horrible and need to be replaced the glass doors did not lock so if you have little kids I had to constantly make sure mine weren’t on the balcony by themselves because the doors wouldn’t lock. The location was good but it took them a while to find my Expedia reservation and at first was trying to get me to repay it and cancel on Expedia. All in all I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 my family enjoyed themselves sleep was rough but hey what can I expect for spring break. If money is tight this will be ample but if it’s not I would look at better alternatives. "

"I’ve never left a bad review, but this is easily the worst service I’ve experienced. The rooms and amenities were not at all as advertised. The room was filthy. We arrived with dirty sheets and could not get housekeeping to change them. The wires to the television were hanging out and rusted. The balcony door would not latch and lock which was a huge safety concern because we were traveling with children. I saw multiple great reviews when I booked, but I’m honestly not sure how. I did attempt to address all of my concerns with hotel staff and management. The sent maintenance to fix the lock, said it was fixed, and it still was not. Housekeeping came by and said the would not change sheets until we had been there 4 days and left. I spoke with management again. They would not offer a refund and said they were booked with no other rooms available. The only plus side was the location being directly on the beach and boardwalk, however, for safety concerns, lack of service, and unclean rooms I would NOT recommend staying here. "
