Carmen at the Fromt Desk was kind, helpful and professional! Property is safe and amenities are satisfactory. Carpets need replacing and new paint job is needed. Overall, a good stay!

It was close to stadium which was helpful. Room was clean. Didn't have anything but bath towels in bathroom. No soap, hand towels or wash cloths. Breakfast literally had eggs and sausage. Had to ask for coffee. Our room never got cool. But our 2nd room was cool.

The bed, the air conditioning, and proximity to the stadium were probably the only outstanding things about this hotel. It had a microwave and mini fridge which are convenient when traveling with kids but honestly the cleanliness was poor and did not even see cleaning staff at all in the hallways. If you pay attention to details you realize it’s poor maintenance. They should definitely invest a bit more on that.

First time at Wingate. Usually stay next door at sister hotel Wyndham. Liked the location better because it was shorter walk to stadium and less crowded. The rooms are nearly identical. Will probably stay here more.

The rooms were clean but they didn’t have a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave in the rooms. We had leftovers but couldn’t take them because we couldn’t keep them cool or heat them up. The staff was wonderful though!! Hi praise there!! The AC during the heat of the day struggled to keep the room cool but by 10 pm it was cool enough to sleep comfortably.

The outside could really use a remodel. The screen doors that are framed on the inside and open on the outside are unappealing. My door did not work properly which was a safety risk and the staff honestly could have slowed down at introduction. Check-in was fast but almost too fast. Other than that room smelled great beds was clean and it was close enough to the rodeo for us to walk

I rated it 4 stars. It’s frustrating that they charge for parking or have an * by it when normally it is free. $40 tacked on because of an event going on. That’s the whole reason I picked that place because of the free parking. Really difficult to get ahold of staff to request an early check in. Breakfast was not ready on time so we had to leave before we got to try it. Great location for events like Houston rodeo though or anything at NRG stadium. That is within walking distance if you are looking for that.

Best option to walk to the stadium.

The staff was very nice and informative. The hotel is not the most updated, and the breakfast is lackluster, but the room was clean and the coffee was good! We were not sure what to expect with the mixed reviews, but we were very happy with our decision to stay. If you need to be close to the stadium, this is it!

Honestly it looked like it was going out of business. The lobby was very nice and it looks like they maybe remodeling this location. The air conditioner was not good and clearly need maintenance. The room smelled like mold. We changed rooms and the bathroom didn't have broken tile in it but had all the above problems. We only stayed at night the rest of the time at the hospital with our grandson. If I had not already paid for the room up front, we would have moved. Didn’t feel safe and won't stay there again.
