Simon the proprietor was an excellent host and area visit resource. He was very flexible on arrival/departure/meal services and highlighted local restaurants and activities. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Good selection of drinks at the bar and our room was very clean and neat. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and went out of their to make sure we all had a lovely day.

Simon, the landlord, was personable and very helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast which were very nice. Our room was fine and the bathroom facilities adequate. The property generally could do with a bit of tlc but, that said, we had a nice stay.

Great breakfasts. Clean room with everything needed including hairdryer and large closet with drawers and hanging bar. Friendly and helpful people. Simon is very helpful and cooks well. Well stocked bar with a great atmosphere. If you like, you can see the large German shepherd who likes everyone. It's in a quiet and peaceful village next to a small convenience store. Easy to get to the A14. Good TV channel choice . Hope to stay there again. It's worth a walk in the village. Breakfast is a lot of food with great tea.

Excellent stay at the Prince of Wales. The owner was fantastic and very friendly. I had to leave early for work so could not make the breakfast time, however the owner offered me a goody bag to take away with me. Would stay again when in the area.

Full English breakfast was amazing, really friendly team who work here. The rooms could do with a bit of a facelift, but for a business stay, ticked all boxes. Probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had!

Pet friendly and a very warm welcome. Bedroom was quite small but had ensuite shower roomand a nice powerful hot shower. Food was nice, i recommend the gammon which was very large and very tasty. Good selection of beers.

Absolutely loved our stay . Such amazing hosts and felt so at home . Our evening meal was delicious and so was our breakfast. Cosy room with all you need. Definitely will return.

What a little gem the Prince of Wales was. The staff were very professional from the moment I entered the pub. The room was small but perfect for myself. The breakfast (full English) poached eggs on request sausage bacon black pudding hash brown beans and tomato & brown bread toast, quality 5*

Always happy to accommodate. I arrived well after they stopped serving food, but went out of their way to sort out a decent meal for me. Excellent service.

Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent shower, superb service where nothing was too much trouble. good menu choice for evening meals - the lasagna was absolutely excellent with a great side salad and the best chips I've had for ages. The draught beer was great and not over priced .... all in all, to be recommended!

This was a 1-night stay for work. Booking stated could not arrive until 6pm. When I called in advance and spoke with Simon, he stated I could arrive before that time, just to knock on the door and you would be let in (as I was arriving on a Monday and the pub does not open until 6pm on Monday's). Good greeting by Simon and I was in room 1. It was cosy, and good enough for a 1-night stay. Decor was dated but okay. TV was okay as was ensuite. I ate at the venue in the evening (they only cook for residents on a Monday), and it was lovely (steak, chips and salad). Breakfast in morning (included in price) was good cooked breakfast (not served until 7:30am unless request made). Nice little find, when nearby will be back.
