"The hotel description is very misleading. The rooms are extremely small, and the double room is one tiny bed (the same size as one bed in a twin room). The decor is extremely outdated, the bathroom is tiny, and you cannot change the heating in the room by yourself meaning it is either too cold or too hot. You need to call reception to adjust the temperature. The Onsen was fine. Definitely very overpriced for what you get."

"Was a big room with a comfortable bed. A good size bathroom with an enclosed shower stall. Breakfast was good. "

"The hotel has an amazing location. On a clear day, Mount Fuji can be seen directly from the hotel which has a wonderful observation room. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The onsen is also a lovely treat at the end of the day- and spotlessly clean. We love staying here. There is a shuttle service provided to/from the station as the hotel is a little out of town."

"Staff was friendly, but the kiosk to check-in felt less warm than a normal check-in. Room was clean and neat, the bed was hard which I've heard is possible for Japanese rooms. A bit odd that the best way to walk there from the train station was to walk through a large park, but it was fine."

"Our stay at La Vista Fujikawaguchiko was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They also provide pajamas/loungewear, which were extremely comfortable and a nice extra touch. We loved having a balcony with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, especially in the morning and at sunset. The onsen and public baths were relaxing, and we especially enjoyed the private onsens as well. The location was peaceful and quiet, with gorgeous scenery all around. I highly recommend taking advantage of the hotel shuttle service to get to and from Kawaguchiko Station, as getting Ubers was more difficult than not, especially for a larger group. The nearest FamilyMart and 7-Eleven are about a mile away, so the breakfast buffet is definitely worth adding to your stay. There was a wide variety of options, and it was a great way to start the day before heading out. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Honestly, this was the best stay of all the places we visited in Japan. We would definitely stay at La Vista Fujikawaguchiko again."
