"Excellent hotel for our family of three. Modern facilities, very clean, and helpful staff. Good location, close to heritage areas (though no views from the suite). Ask staff to help you make dinner reservations, as walk-in space was hard to come by in the better restaurants. Only quibble was the 6/10 breakfast buffet, which was probably just our tastes. Otherwise would definitely recommend, and would stay there again."

"Mimaru is an excellent place to stay in Kyoto. It is only three subway stops from Kyoto Stdtion and it is in a very quiet area. It has exceptional amenities and our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. There is a Family Mart about 30m from the front entrance. Highly recommended."

"We had such a wonderful experience at this property. Just under 10 minute walk from Kyoto station. The staff were incredible and had lots of restaurant recommendations as well as provided baggage storage after checkout. The room was clean and spacious. "We loved the unique (by western standards) interior design and very thoughtful touches throughout the room and the hotel. This is however a high volume, high turnover hotel as a FYI for other travelers. We did not purchase the included breakfast and saw that others had to wait in line etc. Free massage chairs were awesome as were the baths. Walking distance from train station also great."

"Very helpful front desk ladies during check in and when I forgot my key in my room- and super cute! Room was clean and had enough space for my luggage. Iron was helpful for a wrinkled shirt.
