"This is a beautiful, well equipped hotel that lets itself down due to corporate greed, amateur level service and lack of attention to detail. The hotel itself, the ground, the pools and the setting behind Falésia Beach are stunning. The place was immaculate, the heated pools were glorious, the rooms were large and comfortable and we slept well. However, after paying for our stay upfront (nearly €1500 for a few days) we were basically informed that our money was not good enough. The front desk said “what we do now is put a hold on your card for expenses and we suggest €100 a day.” I said I’d like to pay as I go. I did not appreciate being told to pre pay, particularly being told how much I should be spending. It was presumptious, tacky and exploitative, especially given that the hotel restaurants are extremely expensive and the menus average. For the next 24 hours there was a red banner on my glitchy guest app saying my credit had expired and I must contact front desk. This eventually changed to in credit. Our experience eating in the hotel was only the sub standard breakfast, which staff could not keep warm. Cold eggs, sausages, pancakes, potato rosti on 3 occasions. We stopped eating the hot breakfast. On the 2nd day I told front desk about the cold breakfast and the rep was unhelpful; she wanted me to tell the restaurant staff, not her. Eventually she agreed to pass on the feedback when I also reported that my shower was broken. This isn’t 5 star quality. "

"Overall it was just okay. The reception crew kept looking down when I was lining up to check in and had to wait for a while. The whole resort smelled like mold. Maybe they need a deep clean? The breakfast was very busy. The spa was fully booked so I could get a massage. The room was smaller than expected. They only provide minimum. Our room came with a laundry machine but they only provided detergent for the first day. We were there for 5 days. They expect us to purchase a big container at the store for a short stay. At other resorts they usually provide enough detergents. The restaurants were fully booked everyday so we had to eat at the main cafe a lot. It was expensive for what it was."

"For what we paid for our trip over Easter it is hard to pick fault with this place. Our room was exactly as we expected which isn’t always the case when going off the pics provided. Decor throughout is very homely, reception, bar and breakfast areas all very nice and the breakfast itself was decent too. Pool and roof bar were perfect for the temps we had (mid 20s) and were never over crowded. Couldn’t knock any of the staff either, all lovely people from reception staff to bar staff to cleaning staff we couldn’t have asked for much more. Would stay here again, no questions. "

"This property is excellent! Fifth visit for us and we will return. Staff are all amazing, the rooftop pool and bar are just gorgeous, breakfast is first class and rooms are beautiful. They went above and beyond on this visit as we took our son with us who has coeliac, the gluten free options they provided were brilliant. There’s only one thing you should be aware of and that is, because it’s a property right in the centre of the old town, some of the rooms have pretty awful views into neighbouring properties and where there’s quite a lot of building work/unsightly buildings and some balconies don’t see any sun all day/evening. But I guess that’s a small price to pay for the great location! "
