Roots Hotel

"Roots was a great place to stay with my family overnight. The staff were polite and helpful when we arrived a few hours early, then phoned me to let me know that the room was ready. My children liked the hot chocolates from the machine; we looked at the pool and it was small but a good feature to have, although we didn't get time to use it. The room was clean and had everything we wanted for one night. It was basic rather than luxurious, but that was all we needed to drop our bags, change, and sleep for one night. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Faro for a similar short break."

"So this place is amazing and the room specs are awesome. The food is great in the restaurants (albeit the menu never changed the whole time we were there which was 8 nights and ws a little limited) The atmosphere is very chill, a little chic and so quite lovely and it is family friendly which is super nice. It is actually a lovely place to spend time in the day - especially by the main pool. But there are some limitations - they can not do room service (i know it sounds odd but they can't) We waited 1.5 hours for 3 bottles of wine and after that one of the bottles was wrong (we asked fo red and it was white). We had our child's 8th birthday there and we paid for a cake ( two days in advance) it arrived melted and unusable with no candles and when were given the candles there was no lighter (just poor). We ordered again (i know why did we) one night and the pizza wa wrong, the drinks were missing, the sides were omitted - it was just a disastaster and to be ones it let the whole experience down - we tried 3 times to enjoy the benefits of having a two bed suite with pool and we couldn't because the set up of staff is so thin that they cant do room service - which at 20K a week isn't good enough! its jy's not. Sorry guys on the team - but its rubbish and we wouldn't stay again until this is fixed."

"A great little hotel. Wonderfully clean. Perfect, spacious room with the best bed. Lovely staff. Spotless pool. More than enough sun beds. Great buffet breakfast. Excellent location. We will definitely return."

"The Staff was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent, really good choices and very attentive staff. Loved the Beach View Room was clean but glasses cups etc, were not always cleared away Other than that would most definitely go back again. Lined the situation of the room and the size"

"Friendly, professional welcome. Excellent clean and comfy room with great views across the marina. Lovely staff at reception, in the dining room and bar, and also the boat pilot that took us to the beach. Fantastic breakfast, wonderful fresh fruit selection, and perfect piano background music. Definitely recommend."
