"Beautiful gardens surround what clearly was a stunning manor house in its day. Met at reception by a cheerful helpful lass who soon had us booked in. Room was very dated and tired and desperately needed a full refresh. A questionable mark on the bed valance caused concern. "Hotel was good, quiet location,modern facilities. Lift was not working and extractor in bathroom was very noisy. We had to turn off light in bathroom to use the facilities as it was too loud. Food and drink was very expensive, remote location means you have no choice"
