"We've stayed here several times and the staff are always friendly and the food very good. It's in a great location with easy access to buses going to the centre, plus there's ample parking. Rooms vary - this time we booked two nights in a Deluxe which had a lovely view and spacious bathroom. The decor isn't perhaps what you would expect in such a grand Scottish building but the glitzy wallpaper and large silver horsehead bedside lamps might go as the hotel is currently being refurbished. "Great room for 2 adults and 3 kids. Hotel was totally dog friendly for our Labrador. The staff are excellent all round and made us super welcome. Breakfast was 10/10, I just can’t fault it. Oh and it’s a great location, ten min ish walk to the station (if you go the right way and avoid the steps!) "
