"We absolutely loved the hotel—super clean, full of thoughtful touches, and the staff were very attentive. It is located close to the entire tourist area, and we spent a spectacular and safe few days there. Highly recommended."

"Excellent property, right next to the train and bus stations, perfect for day trips based in Takayama. The room is spacious with kicken, large refrigerator, micorwave oven and washer/dryer unit (detergent provided). Also it has seperate shower, toilet and sink rooms, plus a large balcony. The hotel offers free vouches to use the onsen in a nearby hotel(we used the private onsen there everyday without any waiting). Highly recommended!"

"This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. "Absolutely exquisite stay! Everything was perfection - from the check in with green tea, to the delicious Japanese style breakfast, to the friendly and attentive staff. This stay comes with so many extra amenities such as free yamata rental, complimentary sake, public baths etc. Also excellently located close to the station. We felt relaxed and at home our whole stay. It was genuinely one of our favourite stays in the whole of Japan. Special shout out to Karen who went over and above to help me...

"This is my second time staying in this hotel. I love it because it is right beside the train station. It is so convenient. Rooms were a bit small and they do not have interconnecting rooms for families but the hotel was very nice to take in our side by side room request. Rooms were a little small for 2 pax but it is good for 1. Onsen was great! Best part about this hotel is that they have a laundry machine in every room!!! "

"This is a very lovely hotel in downtown Takayama. We were staying here for one night coming from Kusatsu. We had some issues with the GPS so were going to be late for dinner, we called them and they said they would hold dinner for us no issues. We had the Hida beef dinner which was fantastic. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic. The room had a nice view of the river and we left the door open all night without any noise. Most of the town closes down at 6pm but opens back up at 8am....

"Absolutely clean, massive rooms. The wet area was phenomenal in our room, with a large bath the two of us could sit and soak in each night. Two double beds with very comfortable pillows! The staff were friendly, there was a small range of amenities. The only thing I would change is brick in the open segment behind the sinks - this brings light into the room early morning (nothing serious). "
