Clearly they are in the process of shutting this hotel down since it is no longer on Expedia and Google says “permanently closed”. The pool, bar and restaurant- all closed, smelly, breakfast not good. And the staff never spoke when encountered in passing. They made a point of pointing out that they made popcorn in the evening, but that only happened on our first night. One would think that they would discount the rate with all the sub-par amenities but the rate we paid was actually higher than the brand new hotel up the road’s rates on the Expedia website.

No longer AmericInn by Wyndham! Surprised Wyndham was even associated with this rundown place. Staff did not know of the sudden change and did not know how to run the new software at check in. Only reason to give it a 1 star because it had running water and a toilet. Still under same ownership and management so I don’t see any future improvements. Way overpriced!

Looks dark gloomy very worn, most plugs non working, no bar or restaurant, staff not friendly and one was dressed in satanic symbolism etc. needs complete remodeling or torn down. Very disappointed for a Wyndham hotel.

Do not recommend.

Significantly unsatisfied. During the stay, the WiFi was either unstable or altogether absent during the entire duration of our two day stay. I called the front desk and they said they would restart the router, which did not help. Also, there was literally no warm breakfast other than gravy and biscuit on the first day and nothing in the warm tray on the second day. On the second morning, they ran out of the batter for making waffles an hour and half before their breakfast window was supposed to close (at 10am). The batter was not replaced. Overall, a poor experience overall for the high price I paid.

I stayed here because of the pool and on site dining. Both of which were closed and neither Expedia or the Wyndham website mentioned it. I could have stayed elsewhere for less money for just a room.

Property is old and dated and needs a good cleaning. Pool and rec area closed. Parking lot full of pot holes and not clean. Room had newer tile in bathroom but guessing they laid over old tile because it was not even with carpet, causing tripping hazard. Vent was very dirty in bathroom. Would not stay again.

The hotel said they had a pool and that was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay but jut before arriving we were made aware the pool was not working. Multiple families staying with many kids

Decent place to stay

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Clean and looks maintained. Issue was with no temperature control in room. Fan blowing cold air only in the room in 40 degree weather is not a good time, especially with little kids. Front desk staff looked and supplied a space heater, they were very accommodating staff and were very helpful. It was handled well. No complaints other than that

We liked the location which was right on the border of MN and Canada. We could see the river from our room. We were told at the time of booking the restaurant was not open but we could sit at the bar and eat. This was important for us because we drove ATV’s 150 miles to stay there so we needed this option to be available. But when we arrived it closed and was told they are not open on the weekends. We were told breakfast would be available though. Breakfast was not anywhere near what was advertised. Ended up only grabbing coffee.. We also went to use the whirlpool but that was out of order.

Not a bad place.

The hotel is okay, slightly on the older side but everything is clean and tidy. The view that’s available behind the hotel on the river banks is worth the stay!

I don't know i waited a little more than 10 min to check in. There was no one at the desk, no bell, and no number to call. There seemed to be alot of people roaming the hallways and outside.

Quiet, almost rural setting. Access to river. Even saw deer feeding on back lawn in early AM. Facility is easily reached from either E or W, with simple drive to decent restaurants. Well located.
