"Our room had a sticky floor and very dirty bed sheets. Reported it as soon as we checked in. Came back from dinner and they said it was all taken care of. Went up to go to bed and no one had been there. Called the front desk and was told house keeping doesnt work this late so they would drop off sheets. After going back down to the front desk they finally sent someone to take care of our bed. I dont know if id stay there again especially for paying $1,000 for 2 nights. Additional costs that you should keep in mind - Valet is $57 a day (self park $55 lol). The private beach area was busy, chairs and towels were included but $38 to rent an umbrella which is a must. Our two adult beverages, 1 mix drink and 1 surfside can cost us $36. The pool and pool area was nice. It is in a good location and we did have a good time. The whole bed ordeal right off the start was bad and this review would have been much better if they had just taken care of it."

"Overall mixed views. Location by the beach was great. Facilities were good for the price point (gym above average). Staff were excellent and very helpful particularly in accompanying a late checkout free of charge and also moving our room due to a noisy ice machine. We had two main issues: 1) We didn’t have a single uninterrupted nights sleep (noisy ice machine, noisy fridge, very heavy and therefore extremely noisy doors from adjacent rooms). 2) There are a lot of extras you have to pay for which should be included. Two examples: parasols on the beach and beds by the pool which was super frustrating if the free ones were all taken. Also the staff frequently reminded us to tip them - adding to the sense that we’re were constantly being fleeced for money"

"Housekeeping was horrible they didn’t clean room and never got washcloths and the shower was disgusting. We were in the south tower and it was mold on the ceiling. The bathroom smelled as if it was a sewer issue. For this hotel to be a 4 star it gave 1 star rating. The only good side was the staff waived 2 days of resort fees."

"This hotel was the perfect location, within walking distance to anything and everything we needed for a girls trip, but would be great for any family vacationor romantic getaway too. The hotel common areas and room were all extremely clean. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate any requests, answer questions , and communicate in advance by text (at least 1 day prior, sometimes 2 days)that specific areas or services would not be available for a specific period due to renovations. The room itself was immaculate, spacious and had more amenities than we expected: microwave, mini fridge/freezer, wine glasses, rock glasses, tall drinking glasses, silverware, dish soap & sponge, 2 packets of laundry detergent to do laundry downstairs, a full size 12 cup coffee maker, coffee mugs, coasters, beach/pool towels, plenty of bath towels, a ceiling fan, USB and regular outlets. The king bed was very comfortable. I slept on the pullout sofa, which was very firm, but still comfortable enough to get some good sleep for three nights. The area is great, right across the street from the beach, CVS next to the hotel, cafes, shops, bars and restaurants were literally steps away. I will definitely book this hotel again!"

"The property location and condition were very good. Our room was a mini suite, which was beautiful, fairly well appointed, and we overlooked over the pool area and could see the ocean in the horizon. The issue is there were a ton of kids at the resort. My guess is that Lago Mar is a precursor or a day after property for those that enjoy cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. We were there for three days and could not get a seat at the pool. There is a children’s pool with a ton of kids and an adult pool that is nowhere near big enough. If you want to go to the beach, there is only one company that you are allowed to rent umbrellas and chairs from. One umbrella and two chairs is $62 per day plus gratuity. So if you’re staying for a few days, do the math… The ownership needs to reevaluate some of the real estate within the resort area and allocate rarely used ball courts for additional pool space. The director of Food and beverage was fantastic and bourbon expert! He was great. Thank you Dante! "

"Pool was very nice. Room was very spacious Hotel was in a nice area, easy to get to market, restaurants, or even ice cream. Overall I would recommend staying here. Bathroom needs an upgrade, all other nice hotels have moved over to crystal sliding shower doors. This one is stuck in the 80’s. When taking a shower, the moisture stayed in the bathroom. Need to have better ventilation."
