"The hotel was lovely and the breakfast staff was very helpful. However, The women staffing the front desk were poorly trained in good customer service. When I arrived, there was no greeting. I was simply given the room key. The same thing happened when I checked out. I was told to leave the room keys on the desk by a distracted desk person who never asked me about my stay, The Hampton Inn has always been a wonderful place to stay in the past. "Staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice and clean. The only thing we didn't like was the area in which the hotel was. Unsafe and dirty. Definitely do not recommend walking around alone. People in the streets smoking pot...thats all we could smell. People sleeping outside hotel and people hanging out on all street corners. Its Baltimore, so I kind of knew what to expect but this was really bad and as i mentioned before, unsafe."

"It’s one of the oldest hotels in Baltimore I loved the charm of this hotel . The do weekend magic shows as well . Very easy to catch an Uber or Lyft , Taxi from here around the city . Not to far of a ride from the Inner Harbor, Little Italy and Fell’s point area ."
