"This is a very nice relatively economical resort with a beautiful beach, 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, beautiful landscaping, and free bike rentals at the end of a 12-mile bike path along the coast. We loved having a full kitchen in our room in the Maile building. We took advantage of the hot tub and bikes. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at Lava Lava Beach club in the property. We had an issue with our bathtub drain and the staff came and corrected it within a hour of our request! The biggest problem with this resort is parking. There is not enough and the situation is made worse by a sewage pump replacement project which takes a portion of the parking lot for a construction site and is projected to last at least another half year. During this period, the resort might consider renting some parking from the strip mall next door as the valet parking is simply not enough to handle the need."

"Dirty rooms. Dust everywhere. Doors that only I could close because it was so heavy. So my wife could not. No room service. I had to change the sheets myself. To compensate they did give me the parking for free. Will not stay there ever again!"

"Pool is dirty and very cold! No heater. Room air conditioner was off from 2am to 5am. Parking is far and you need to pay for It. you wanna valet? Additional charge plus tip. I was about not to mention all of this but they did not let us do late check out. Not even 1/2 hour. We stayed for 6 nights and our room was only clean once. Very disappointed! Never again to this hotel. "

"The room was clean you could smell the bleach, however the paint was peeling off the ceiling over the table, over the bed and over by the kitchen sink. Plus we are older adults and they gave us a third floor room and trying to pack 2 40 plus pound suitcases up that many stairs was ridiculous. The staff was nice, parking was ok. The toilet plugged up for no reason and for coincidence they happen to have 2 plungers under the bathroom sink. The hot water took about 5 to 10 minutes to get hot. We unfortunately will not plan on staying there again. If they would update the rooms and fix the plumbing it could be a super nice hotel. The grounds were beautiful. I would not stay there if i had kids because they have a bar at the pool so you have a bunch of drinking, questionable people watching children swimming. "
