"Had everything we wanted for an excellent overnight stay."

"Great location, however the idea of being awoken earlier than anticipated by faulty air conditioning. This triggered the in room gas leak detection alarm, which the on site staff responded to quickly by turning the air conditioning unit off. Silenced the alarm, but turned a/c off, and we were the up w hours earlier than anticipated for early departure, which was the reason for staying close by. Appreciate these things happen and grateful for alarm, however presume ac had not been serviced."

"Great location for park and ride into Bath. We stayed in the main building-this was a mistake. It was noisy-the annex (where we have stayed before) is much better. "A fabulous hotel and well worth a stay! We made a last minute booking as a stop off on the motorway - it's about a mile from the M5 but you'd never know it. A beautiful old building and great amenities mean you don't either need or want to go elsewhere. A choice of a fine dining restaurant or the bistro-style Atrium meets all needs. Had it been better weather when we were there we would have loved sitting out on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the garden. I'm very very fussy about hotels and...

"Comfortable rooms and beds with a good breakfast in the morning"

"We were so impressed by this hotel. We only paid around £60 and had a lovely clean, modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative I can think of is that the carpet is a bit threadbare in the corridors but that made no difference to our experience. We were lucky to have a view over the lovely marina. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Free parking very close by and bars and restaurants also very close. I would highly recommend this hotel and I am just about to book...

"Thoughtful, friendly receptionists, cheerful serving staff, room had a beautiful view and was clean. No complaints other than old cobwebs in the swimming pool windows and pool was crowded and noisy due to kids swimming lessons, which cut the useable area of pool to half"

"We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"The staff were excellent unfortunately the facilities were not. We had a bad nights sleep - the bed was uncomfortable and there didn’t appear to be any kind of sound proofing in the rooms as it felt like we could hear every coming and going in the hotel, including the guests talking in the next room. The bathroom was also not very clean, there was black mould on the door runner in the shower and even the toilet roll holder was rusty. The breakfast was disappointing and poor quality."

"A Characterful Coaching Inn set in lovely countryside - staff on the reception were very good, Bar and waiting staff, young but pretty good. The 2 steak dishes we had were also pretty good. We'd certainly stay here again. The Cosy Double Room we had just for 1 night was very clean and in excellent condition."
