"The rooms were spacious and comfortable! The balcony was great for relaxing at night or having coffee in the morning (which the coffee was an added bonus from the hotel). I loved the pool area outside and being able to put my feet in and read. Would stay again!"

"After an issue checking in where our booking was lost Jose placed us in a fab Junior Suite with kitchenette, sofa and bed. All hyper clean with great view of the beach and harbour entrance. Breakfast was the best with great choice from cooked to fruit & yoghurt to pastries. Always love coming to stay and never let's us down. Always recommend Vilamoura and especially the Ampalius."

"The hotel was clean but the room was a bit tired and could do with a refurb. It was quiet and in a good location close to restaurants, marina and old town. Staff were pleasant and helpful."

"Lovely hotel, breakfast options were vast and lovely bar areas. Ate at the poolside restaurant which was also good. We didn’t eat our evening meal at the hotel as we had various restaurants booked but it looked great. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels every day if you wanted them. They also gave the option of not having your room cleaned and instead receiving a free drink token. We only used this once during our stay but on that day our water and coffee was still replenished. Also had a visit every day around 5pm to offer more towels and chocolates which was a nice touch. There were also complimentary items handed out around the pool some days - ice creams one day and fruit shots another. The staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return."
