"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "A great one night stay on my way up to Scotland. Fabulous hospitality and made to feel very welcome. Had a peaceful night's sleep. Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."

"Beautiful place, near busy junction only downfall but was quite tbh with windows closed. Other room noise- none at all. Shops across the street and dominos. Food was banging i had liver and onions, good prices. If staying in area for work, great stay! Could do with pint of milk in room as making your cereal from satchet milk is hard work lol. Deffo recommend for work."

"I had a wonderful stay at Gretna Green Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gretna Green and would happily stay here again."

"This location is used extensively for weddings, but we just had an overnight stop here on our way home from holiday. The room was functional rather than inspiring, but absolutely fine, everything worked and no complaints at all. Staff were cheerful and helpful at check in, in the bar, and at breakfast the next morning. Food both at dinner and breakfast was very nice (try the haggis!). Plenty of car parking. Would happily have a stop over here again."

It feels more like a boutique 5* hotel with attention to detail and luxury furnishings.
