"This is our favorite place to stay in Amador County. The hotel is a gas, very old timey and well maintained. We made dinner reservations and the food and service and atmosphere were impeccable! Don't miss the cute underground bar below, you'll feel like you're in a speakeasy. Great cocktails. We love the location right on Main Street, plenty to do. "

"This was the first stop for us on a 3 week California road trip and from previous reviews we were anticipating a warm welcome with a wine and snacks reception then a hearty breakfast next morning. Sadly we were a bit disappointed. We were welcomed by the owner and had a glass of wine but then never saw her again. "Our stay at the HIE in Jackson was nice. The service was attentive and the room was clean. Breakfast was as expected with the options slightly changed up over our stay. I visited the exercise room. It's quite dated and one of the TVs didn't work. I'll live. Overall, nice stay. "
