"We were in the perfect location to see Folly Beach, Downtown Charleston, and Mount Pleasant! The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly! We enjoyed our stay here!"

"The valet parking overnight is cheaper than nearby park and pay lots. The welcome drinks were a nice added touch, plus all the drinks and snacks in the mini fridge are included which was nice. The housekeepers were friendly & the come in and clean during the day and later in the evening they come do a turndown service. Complimentary breakfast was good also. Location was great and could easily walk most everywhere we wanted to go."

"The front desk and ladies delivering breakfast were excellent. However, the middle aged manager sitting in room behind front desk was not so helpful in checking in earlier, and was condescending to the young man, who she unkindly labeled as “ he’s training.” He was lovely."

"Our first time in Charleston and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! In the French Quarter, walking distance to so many shops and restaurants! The staff was incredible! Darrell heard that I have an allergy to American cheeses so he personally went out and purchased imported cheese for me so I can enjoy the wine and cheese along with everyone else during their cocktail hour. Their sister hotel, The Spectator, was just as wonderful! I would give 10 stars if I could!"

"Very historic hotel in the heart of Charleston. Beautiful big room with giant King Size bed and plenty of of air conditioning for the heat in Charleston summer time. Wonderful stay, would definitely recommend and book again !"

"The room was poorly cleaned. In fact, I would not walk barefoot on those floors. I requested to have the room cleaned and they supposedly did. I went back to the room and it was still the same. There was a long piece of hair on the bathroom door from the moment I checked in to the moment I left the hotel. The room was supposedly cleaned three times during my stay, yet the long very visible hair was never removed. Overall dirty, the elevator floors were also very dirty."
