"We stayed in several hotels this trip, none compared to The Spier hotel. I'm hard to please but this hotel knocked it out of the park. Truly gorgeous and special."

"Originally booked for the guesthouse/room as the room looked beautiful, along with the deep soak bath; but on arrival the room was very small and inside the guesthouse, the other rooms were very close together. We asked to move which thankfully they allowed us to do so. We moved to the cheaper cottage which was much bigger and had more privacy. While I was grateful they let us move, they were not aware of my payment and were not very friendly or make me feel very at home."

"Great short stay. Beautiful area and great views from the room. Good food in the restaurant and great tome at the wine tasting. "

"I made a reservation and drove more than an hour out of my way to get there because everything was booked in Cape Town. When I arrived I was informed that there wasn't a room available. I understand that mistakes sometimes happen but now they are REFUSING TO REFUND MY PAYMENT!"

"Great place for out on the farm feel..room was nice(lower estates,) the restaurant has a great view. The wine/ice cream sampling was a nice choice. Debi was wonderful, we hope to return again. "
