Hotels.com let me down big style when booking this hotel, I received a email from the hotel on the morning I was supposed to be staying the night stating that Hotels.com had not paid them (I had to pay immediately on book the hotel)
I contacted Hotels.com straight away via direct messaging, the person I communicated with in the end said that she had spoken to the hotel and had paid for the room.
I communicated this directly to the hotel responding to their email, only to be told they hadn’t. By this time I was on a motorbike riding through France. On one of my rest stops I had to communicate with Hotels.com again only to be told the issue had been sorted.
On arrival at the hotel the guy on reception said I had to pay for the room as Hotels.com hadn’t. I was in communication with Hotels.com for OVER 2hrs stood at reception in my motorbike leathers with my 13 year old Son.
In the end I had to pay another €49 to stay the night as Hotels.com could not sort the issue out as the guy on reception only spoke French and the people from Hotels.com only spoke English just like me. Not. Good start to a 12 night holiday all booked through Hotels.com 😐
