"We had a wonderful stay at South Thompson Inn. The customer service was excellent and truly outstanding from start to finish.
A special thanks to Disney at the front desk, who went above and beyond by calling me ahead of our arrival time to inform that the restaurant would be closing at 8 PM. This thoughtful gesture allowed me to plan ahead and avoid any inconvenience.

"What can I say other than this is a truly terrible hotel. Honestly, the word 'hotel' is being generous, it's more like a glorified hostel. The wing my room was in is ancient and separated from the rest of the hotel so you have to walk outside to get there. The room itself was terrible: no nightstands, no phone, and nothing but fluorescent cold-white lights that give you an instant headache. "Tap in bathtub wouldn’t turn off; I wouldn’t even tough the stair railings, they were so dirty. Holes in walls, torn wallpaper. A/C unit was so loud that it shook the bed.
Continental breakfast was a joke - no fruit, no yogurt- just bread for toast and 3 choices of cereal. Coffee was in the tiniest carafe, and tasted like tar.
The staff, however, were lovely; easy check in, friendly staff. Easy to park, easy checkout. The staff were the only good thing about my stay, sadly."

"Breakfast was very basic so next time would probably just skip that and go to a restaurant instead. Skip the parking charge and just park on the street for free on weekends. The lobby and restaurant are charming for their heritage and the bed in the room was comfortable so we had a good sleep. The location is great for walking around downtown and to Riverside Park. Not sure I’d stay here again though. "

"We were able to check in early, unfortunately the next day our fire alarm wouldn't stop beeping, & our fridge stoped working. Within the hour they had us moved to a different room the was exactly like the one we had. They were all very good including the maintenance staff who told the front desk that they couldn't fix the problem within a reasonable time & recommended the move for us. We were pleased with our stay."
