"When I arrived for my reservation that told me " they no longer had room for me", even though I had made a reservation two months prior. They gave me a letter to go to a partner hotel that was miles away from where our event and reservations for dinner were at. When I arrived at the new hotel, they did not have a room for me that would fit my party. I had booked a two queen room and they only had one room with one full size bed. "Rhonda is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. Rooms are charming and thoughtful decorated in a home with a long history. Plenty of street parking near house. We spent the evening on J Street and found a wonderful coffee house nearby the next morning. Great location on the edge of downtown Sacramento and a wonderful experience."

"The location was great, there was a lot to do, places to visit and really good restaurants. The property is older and in my opinion needs some attention. Staff was great and hotel was neat, carpet was older than I’m used to but as clean as it could be for it’s age. "

"The Delta King provided a delightful alternative to a sterile hotel environment. It is an old converted river ship with gorgeous woodwork and features like a pull-chain toilet and 2 shower knobs to adjust hot and cold with good water pressure. The restaurant was good and the staff extremely attentive, friendly and interactive. Our room, while small, was clean and more than adequate with a great view of the river. "It is a smaller hotel. There are homeless people outside everywhere and you’re in the same parking lot as a gas station. Basically the location is actually good for downtown. It’s very very close like 1 mile our window in our room did not shut and lock so that was a concern of mine, but fortunately nothing happened. "

"pretty clean room except the floors were dirty. I’d recommend brining extra socks/slippers to wear around. Stayed here twice so far for two different events in downtown and was very a convenient walk. Good amount of parking. We stayed in March 2026 and half of the rooms seem to be under renovation (inside rooms facing pool). Overall nice stay for the price and staff were kind and accommodating."
