"Breakfast not offered in hotel but in restaurant 2 floors below the Lobby. Quality of food on offer 3 stars or below. We paid over $330 per night for a small room, old furniture, old carpets and mattresses on beds almost as hard as lying on bricks. This hotel in NO WAY deserves a 9.4 rating. We were very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. The only exceptional feature of this hotel was the staff. My advice is AVOID this hotel. "

"Free canned alcohol drinks in the room fridge. The shower, sink and toilet is separate and very spacious. There are nuts, hot/iced coffee, beer, cold water, and microwave in the lobby free to use. Luggage to be held at hotel before checkin and check out is ¥550 per item. Early checkin is ¥700. The hotel is very strict to the check in time. Many customers were sitting at the lobby waiting for the 1600 check in time."

Stay is perfected by very helpful hotel staff, especially Alisa, who helped with putting me on the same room type for both nights despite my separate booking of different types due to unavailability online."

"This is our 3rd year here. Rooms are clean, amenities are stocked, employees are polite and friendly. We love hearing the trains! We always request a room to watch & hear trains day & night. "The main problem was at check in. They have a system that scans one's body passport, which is probably a good thing… when it works. At previous APA hotels I’ve stayed at this system has never worked. When this happens, the attendant simply does what needs to be done at their terminal and all is okay. A slight delay but no big deal. Not this time. Again, as expected, the system didn’t work. The young man kept trying it, over and over. He phoned people and tried again. And again. I tried to just remain calm. But after ten minutes I was frustrated and impatient. FINALLY, he gave me a form to fill in, which I did, and he gave me my room key. Such a pain for what should be a simple problem. He needs some training."
