Kauai Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time! Our first trip to HI and we celebrated a 50th Birthday. We saw a tone of beautiful Gold Dust Day Geckos running about. The inn has got a historic vibe, our room was clean, quiet, and had a view of the ridge behind. The inn location is a quick 2 min drive through a port yard area to a shopping area with restaurants and other activities. We didnt use the amenities during our stay as we wanted to spend our time exploring the island, which the inn sits about half ways drive to each end of the highway. The Staff are great and very helpful, great spot if your not looking for all the crowded hotel tourists gathered in one resort."

"A beautiful olde world property 30 feet from the sand. No dishes or silverware, but has a tiny fridge/freezer. Walking distance to food, shops and bus. Lovely large pool with waterfall. Comfy bed, AC, balcony. There is a walking path between the beach rooms and the"

Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay, HI

"We were there during hurricane Lowell…. Staff was amazing! The hotel buildings were in disrepair and our room specifically needed a lot of maintenance. Example 1. Ceiling near the patio slider had evidence of a bad repair previously like water damage… then during the hurricane the same spot leaked really bad and dropped painted Sheetrock and water on the carpet. Example 2. Our door frame showed evidence of being either tampered with or unprofessionally worked on. During our stay our door stopped wanting to latch and therefore lock. During the hurricane I had bought a combo pocket style tool and was able to put the screws back in so the door strike would stay in place and the door would latch. Otherwise the stay was as good as could be expected. BIG KUDOS TO THE STAFF WHO COOKED FOOD FOR THE GUESTS AFTER THE STORM!!! During no electricity"

"We were there for Hurricane Lowell and the hotel was fantastic. They provided 2 free charging station (which they powered with generators), ice water, coffee in the morning and breakfast, lunch and dinner (free of charge) for their guests. Resort was beautiful upon arrive before and after the hurricane."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the resort and had a wonderful time. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It is a little dated, but it was very well kept and, most importantly, very clean. We also really appreciated the free parking right in front of the unit—it was so convenient. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly come back!"
