"Ocean view was amazing, amenities with beach access and breakfast at the swan court was delicious. The hotel is not disabilities friendly….my mom had a hard time getting around and if she wanted to go to the pool would have to walk all the way around to get to the lower levels. Overall would stay again. Beautiful hotel."
"We really enjoy the location, the relaxed atmosphere and the close proximity to Kaanapali Beach and its beachwalk. We stayed in a Studio in the Dolphin building on the ground level. The condo was nicely furnished with an Aloha touch, kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfy and we did not hear any noise from the neighboring rooms.
Within a few steps we'd be at the pool or on the beach. We very much appreciated that there wasn't any loud music at the pool.
We've been at the AMKV a few times and while we also have stayed in a hotel room we prefer staying in a condo in the Dolphin building. To us it feels more relaxed.
They provide a water dispenser next to the hotel reception which we liked a lot as well as fresh coffee in the morning. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating, particularly Vernalyn and Joe. "
"Partial ocen view is good from tower. Rooms are dated, could use upgrades. Staff is excellent. Grounds & beach superb. $40 daily parking fee is to be considered if you rent a car"
"We got a nice ocean view room #604 on the inside corner of the 12 story Ohana tower, with 2 picture windows of the mountains to the east and view over the pool to the south & ocean to the S & W. It gave us the feel of a sweeping wide angle over hills and ocean - nice! A higher floor would have been even better as the 3 towers just to the south cut a chunk out of the ocean view. The facility is currently renovating the lobby area and we heard they plan to renovate all the rooms too. We found the 850 sf one bedroom, w/ balcony, large adjoining bath, living & kitchen area to be very spacious and a real bargain! With the planned renovations it will probably be more pricey, but should be very nice! The location was great, about 10 min walk to Duke's and easy drive/Uber down to Whalers Village or up to Kapalua area. The pool was large and all the hot tubs were wonderful! The restaurant is small, take out based, except for the breakfast buffet, but the bar was also right there by the pool so very convenient if you don't want to go out! All in all a great value for the entire package! "
"Amazing resort. Welcoming staff. Lots of activities. Clean rooms and property. Comfortable beds. Stocked kitchen. Huge bathrooms with lots of counter space. The balcony was our favorite space - dining table and four chairs, two comfortable chairs with table and a lounge couch….but the view was the winner…ocean, island of Lanai, whale watching, mountains, plus gorgeous views of the pools and grounds. We loved the poolside bar and grill and had many meals poolside."
