I will never stay there again. My room had a Jacuzzi-style tub with high sides. When I stepped over the edge, my foot slipped out from under me because there were no anti-slip materials in the tub. Had I not been holding onto the faucet, I would have gone down hard.
The room didn't have a bath mat for the floor, so I was equally fearful when I stepped out of the tub, figuring that my tub foot might slip out from under me.
I had driven about 400 miles that day, with the last 100 through some of the worst rain and wind I've been in (and I've covered 13 hurricanes as a news photographer). The only parking was in the back of the building, which had a locked back door. Even my usual no-tell motels will let you use your room card for entry, but this one made me walk through driving rain to go in the front door.
On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, and the room temp stayed where I set it.
