"Nice place to stay if you want be off the grid 90% of your time away and are hiding away from someone. No kind of shopping or eating establishments within 40 mile radius. What little shops (2) close before 8pm if they happen to decide to be open on any given day. There is boxed cereal and bananas for the continental breakfast. And don't be surprised if someone is staying in the house with you without being told. Early morning train whistle will wake you by 6 am. The trech to front door be prepared to walk through very high grass. But on a positive note there is a lot of Cival War history in a very forgotten town of Rowelsburg, WV."

"The front desk was excellent with check in and info on restaurants. The gentleman in charge of the breakfast was very good at replenishing and cleaning up. The common area was great to sit and talk with family. The room was really nice. Have been here before and will return anytime we are in the area."

"The interior of the small apartment was clean. The bed was uncomfortable, however; the mattress needs to be replaced. We knew it was a double bed, but rolling into each other made for a bad night's sleep which was aggravated by the amazing number of dump trucks who ground through their gears rounding the corner of Route 7. On the other hand, after I asked for a hot plate so I could boil some water for dinner, the host provided us with a pot, steamer, and wonderful hot plate that worked perfectly."

"One desk clerk was not engaged, didn't speak clearly and was on his cell phone when we come in. Said he was too busy to get any carts collect bring in guest luggage. Pants half way down his ass. Morning attendant for breakfast not dressed well for that job. Our pillows were just thrown on the bed. Didn't look nicely made."

"Issues with wifi so no internet available and they could not get key cards done properly. I had to be let in and pick up key cards the next day. The ice machine did not work. When I needed staff I had to search the lobby to find someone although staff was great once found."
