Top Kastel Gomilica Hotel Reviews
Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split
8/10 Good
"The hotel rooms are quite old and run down. Our room had stains on the carpet and problems with the air con I wouldn't say it was 5 star. We also heard noise from the DJ and music festival until the early hours as the room wasn't insulated well.
Which is a shame as the pool/ spa and restaurant are all get and the wait staff we very nice"
"The hotel was great and the location couldn’t be better. The only drawback is that there’s no place for a taxi/uber to drop you off as it’s on a major street. We had to haul our luggage two blocks which on cobblestone sidewalks was not easy. My recommendation is have them park near the pharmacy that is on the corner of the street as the walk from there is short. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Split."
"Great Hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. We had a great view. Our room was a nice size with a king bed. The restaurant and roof top pool were great extra's. It is an easy 20 minute walk to old town. However its a short uber or taxi ride too. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again."
"We can highly recommend the Le Meridian hotel outside Split on the beach. Be aware that it is a good 20+ minute ride out of town. That being the case, don't get into a cab unless you negotiate in advance the price of the trip. We were conned into a cab ride from the marina and the driver tried to charge us 75 Euros to get to the hotel. We were saved by the terrific hotel doorman, Mike, who seems to know everyone and was very helpful in fending off this cab driver. We eventually found a wonderful cab/uber driver who was fare and efficient. We used him for all our travel after that. I will list his contact at the end of this review.
The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. We cannot say enough about everyone who worked there. We also liked the restaurants at the hotel - good food and very well run and managed. The only objection we had was access to the beach which was through the reception area and the strange way they monitor the beach and the beach towels. They do not want people traipsing through the lobby of the hotel in bathing suits, but it is hard to dodge the reception area because of the location of the elevators to the pool and beach area.
We highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you love the beach and want to get away from the busy city area.

"Rooms are decent size - small fridge in room - would have expected a couple of bottles of water to be initially provided.
Staff helpful and polite.
Breakfast was very average - the hot selection was poor - although you could request a cooked omelette which was ok.
Only one coffee machine that’s wasn’t working first day.
Roof top pool is quite small - but was very quiet when we stayed - so wasn’t an issue… last day it was shut for maintenance (wasn’t informed when booked)
Location good - direct access to small beach - although 25euros per subbed is a total rip-off - so didn’t use.
A couple of supermarkets local to the hotel, along with a few restaurants. The Road outside hotel very busy!"
