"I recently stayed at OUTRIGGER Kauaʻi Beach Resort & Spa and would give it 4 stars. The property was very clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location is convenient to the airport and several attractions, and there is a restaurant on the property. I also enjoyed the drinks from the bar!
The resort is currently undergoing construction, so depending on where you are, you may hear some loud noise. It didn't really bother me, it was more of a “wow, that's loud” moment. I understand that work needs to be done, and the construction workers were very professional and respectful. They kept to themselves and never made guests feel uncomfortable, even when people were walking around in swimsuits.
I did walk down to the beach, but there wasn't really anywhere to lay out, and the waves were too large for swimming during my stay. Part of the pool area was also closed, although I'm not sure why.
My only real issue was housekeeping. My room was not serviced after my first night, even though the website states rooms are serviced daily. I didn't report it because I returned exhausted after spending the entire day exploring.
I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very friendly. However, I personally spend most of my vacations out exploring, so I didn't use the pools, spa, fitness center, or other resort amenities. For my travel style, I'd probably choose a less expensive hotel next time rather than paying additional fees."
