"The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that we wanted. We ate meals at the hotel and the food was very nice with good menus, both for dinner and for breakfast. Our room had a garden view at the end of the unit block, overlooking the pool, and it was very private. It also had a small kitchenette which we always find very handy. We went for a walk along the ocean front and you could sit all day there and watch the ocean. There is a marketplace shopping centre within walking distance which was handy for supplies and browsing the shops, without ever leaving the hotel."

"The location is definitely the highlight for this resort. Perfectly situated in front of the beach, with a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the resort. The beach itself is not for swimming as it’s short and rocky, but there are plenty of good options at walking distance. The resort itself is OK, adequate for the price but not exceptional. Room amenities are limited also in the “premium” rooms. Nice pool, although in the late afternoon, which would otherwise be the best time for spending time in the pool after a long day, the pool is in a shady and windy spot, making it almost too cold to enjoy. Close to many options for food (restaurants and grocery stores), so you don’t need to drive much if you don’t want to. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy."

"First room smelled horrible…front desk clerk sprayed the room…still horrible! I continued to complain, finally next day we were moved to another room. The property is well maintained and the remainder of our stay was nice but I felt we should have been offered a different room immediately after we complained about the smell in the first room, not the next day after complaining again."

"We booked this very last minute, and were so happy and surprised at the resort amenities, boogie boarding and surfing beach, wonderful lawn facing the beach (less sand!) and gorgeous pool. There was a fantastic breakfast restaurant, grab-and-go coffee, a fantastic sushi restaurant with wonderful staff at all of the places we went. We enjoyed yoga with Anya on the beach (great for ALL yoga and fitness levels, you will not regret it!) and the beds and rooms were comfortable and easy to get to, once you learned the resort layout. There are water stations and lots of restaurants and shops to walk to along the beach, with and ABC store walking distance, if you choose to cut down on your resort drink costs, and make your own, too! I was afraid we would hear the airport traffic, but it did not bother me at all and even our garden room had a partial ocean view. I can't say how happily surprised we were and the free airport shuttle made getting our rental car easy when it was time to leave and head to Poipu for the rest of our stay. Hit Costco on the way out and will do this every time I visit Kauai from now on! In fact, I might just stay at this property the whole time, next time. Mahalo to all the kind staff and service folks!"
