Cari Ryokan di Kawakita-machi

"The staff was impeccable, the room was lovely and peaceful, the food was phenomenal. I felt like a queen here. Gardens and onsen are top notch. Service was perfect. I cannot wait to return!!"

"My go-to place in Kanazawa. The staff all speak English and are incredibly friendly and sweet! Love the Japanese style room and in-house onsen. This inn is gorgeous; when I went to check-in the first day I was in awe taking in the place, and each day I spent the morning walking around and enjoying the peace and quiet. A bit further from the city center but easy to get to by bus/taxi in 10-15 minutes; however, the neighborhood this place in was so charming. My brother and I spent a couple days...

"I really enjoyed my stay at this countryside onsen hotel. They offer a shuttle pickup from the nearby Shinkansen station, but since I had a rental car, I drove myself. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The property conveniently features an EV/Tesla charger, though the rooms still use traditional physical keys instead of keycards - which I actually preferred! Overall, it was a great stay. Out of my 10-day trip across Japan, this place remains one of my favorite memories."

"It was a wonderfully unique experience to stay at this Japanese hotel with a private onsen bath in our room. I would recommend staying at least 2 nights as it is in a remote location 40 min from downtown Kanazawa. They have a free shuttle to and from Kanazawa that you need to organize with the hotel. The multi-course Japanese breakfast in a private room was a treat. The staff was very responsive and helpful despite not speaking much English. We had to make quite a few changes and they were quite...

"The hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff was very kind and professional, the rooms were immaculate, and the food was delicious. I would come to Japan again just to stay at this hotel."

"Nice staff, great restaurant on site and great location. The hotel is a little dated but very clean and well maintained"

"original und authentisches Ryokan. Super sanitäre Anlagen, Chef sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gute zentrale Lage"

"Really the trip was spoiled from the first moment by poor management. I arrived around 2pm, was checked in and told my room was ready, but per hotel policy I would have to wait until 3pm to enter. From about 2:30 I noticed a group of women in kimonos lined up straight like soldiers and forced to stand there until close to 3pm, when it became their job to take me to my room. It was giving managerial power trip. Perhaps some guests would appreciate this pomp and circumstance, but I only felt...

"For an authentic traditional ryokan experience in the Japanese tradition of "omotenashi," Kanazawa Chaya is where you will find it. From the time we arrived until we departed, the staff was fully attentive and accommodating. The multi-course kaiseki meals at dinner and for breakfast were delicious and something to look forward to each day of our stay. Conveniently located, it is a 10 minute walk from Kanazawa Station and an easy and interesting walk to Omicho Market and the Higashichaya...

"Staff and service were amazing but my room was a little run down. Even though it was a non smoking room, it had a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke which was making me nauseous. However, they brought me complimentary sandalwood incense and with the windows open it got better. The sandalwood helped me sleep and I got the best rest of my trip so far. Overall a nice stay and historic but could use some updating!"
