I stayed at the Hyperion during a last minute trip to Salzburg. The hotel is beautiful and the staff amazingly attentive. It is in a brilliant location- across the road from Mirabell palace and gardens and approximately a 10 minute stroll through the gardens and over the footbridge to reach the old town. We stayed in one of the hotel apartments for 9 nights. It was nicely decorated, spacious, with a comfortable bed and handy kitchenette area with fridge. The location was great. We could easily walk into town and had a great choice of buses and the train station nearby. There were bakeries nearby and an excellent pizza place called Lievitamente a few minutes walk from the hotel. It just had a few tables for dining in, but the pizzas tasted amazing (best dough).
