"Location of property was great but! Stairway was dirty. The unit at first appeared OK but definitely wasn’t a cottage as stated in description. Inside closet in one bedroom was not clean and was not usable. Dishwasher was full of dishes. Bathroom sink drained very slowly must be clogged. Toilet seat was extremely loose, shower mat for tub to prevent it from being slippery was filthy! Full of mold! "A really nice place. Excellent location with town centre minutes away, supermarkets on the doorstep and bus station just across the road. Secure location with parking within the grounds. Apartment had everything we needed, well equipped, bright and airy. Will certainly be using again "

"Located in a great area right in the heart of Keswick, super easy to walk to shops, cafes, bars etc. The property is a decent size and has mostly what you’d need during your stay (some Tupperware for guests to use would be really handy). As the property is pet friendly itd be helpful to have an outdoor tap to rinse your dog off after a walk. "I have nothing to compare it with as this is my first experience of youth hostels in 40 years. I was impressed. I loved the open area, bar and restaurant. The dormitory was excellent. Beds were well spaced, ample plug sockets, mattress & pillows excellent. Clean sheets and super mattress. The bed was as good as any 5 star hotel. Honestly. The shower was clean but a little small. "3 nights in late July. Hotel is a great place to stay to experience the Lake District, not far from Ambleside but remote enough to feel like you are really in nature. Staff and breakfast were excellent. Walk up to Stickle Tarn was a good test with a couple of scrambly bits but well worth it once you got there."
