The room was clean. But the eaves in our room made it difficult to get round to the bed. Rather a small room! Other rooms were a lot bigger. Wasn’t informed on description of the room.

Couple of minutes from the town centre. Good location. Staff and breakfast great. We were in a double room which was quite cramped. Only one chair and TV could do to be upgraded. Nowhere to hang coats unless you put in the small wardrobe. It is also advertised as having a guest lounge, but it does not! This was disappointing as am a light sleeper and would have been nice to have somewhere to go and sit. Our room also backed onto a gym and the lights in the car park were coming on at 5am as well as being able to hear visitors talking loudly.

The reception was lovely, staff and breakfast were great. With the room, was a bit more cozy than the pictures gave out. Great views of the fells. But the carpet was stained and very dark. Overall was lovely.

Beautiful hotel and spotless! Very comfortable room and toiletries. Great view of the hillside and very close to town. A comfortable lounge also available for guests operating an honesty box system for drinks and snacks. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff really nice. Will definitely stay again, we loved it. Just a shame it was one night on the way to Scotland. Will go for longer next time. Thanks for a fabulous stay.

Very good location, near to the centre, all very clean. Welcome was polite, but not particularly warm, no small talk like “how was your journey” etc. room was small, but clean and bed was comfortable, especially the pillows. Breakfast was between 8-9, not a very big window! Wasn’t particularly impressed with the cooked breakfast, bacon was hard, as if it had been cooked and kept warm in the oven, poached egg was hard first day, fried egg was very “runny” on second day. Honesty bar was not restocked.

We had a nice stay at The Edwardene B&B in Keswick. The location is excellent — just a short walk into the town centre — and the free on-street parking nearby was a real bonus. Breakfast was good overall. The first morning was good quality with local ingredients, and the second day, the eggs Benedict was a highlight. The breakfast staff were cheerful and friendly, which made for a pleasant start to the day. We also appreciated the quiet guest lounge, which was a comfortable space to relax and the lovely local toiletries in the bathroom. There were just a couple of minor negatives for us. Our room was in the rafters and a little awkward to move around in, especially as we’re both tall. Also, the very early breakfast times finishing at 9am and the 10am checkout felt a bit rushed — particularly on a Sunday. After a hard week at work, we’re not early risers at weekends for these reasons plus after an evening in the local ale houses we were quite tired, so this might not suit everyone. Overall, these were small points in an otherwise enjoyable stay. The Edwardene is a welcoming, well-located B&B and we’d recommend it to others visiting Keswick.
