"The hotel’s location is really unfortunate-right by an onramp to the highway. The car noise was incredibly loud in the room -deafeningly so. Within 1 hour of our arrival I called down to ask if there were other, quieter rooms. Rather than tell me there weren’t, the person at the front desk said I had been in the room too long to change it. I said that shouldn’t matter, and then she said there weren’t no alternative rooms. I doubt she was being truthful. I wouldn’t stay there again!"

"This is one of the nicest and cleanest lodging facilities I have ever stayed in. It must not be that old, because it was spotless. Everything was first class about the rooms, breakfast, staff being friendly, etc. It was almost perfect.....except for one item!!! The pillows were terrible. They had zero support to them. Perhaps they have done studies that people want extrmely soft pillows, because these were almost too soft to call a pillow. It's like they had nothing in them. If you need...

"The Carlisle is a lovely, upscale hotel with a gorgeous 3-story spiral staircase. All the rooms on our side of the building had balconies with chairs overlooking the valley. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is listed as continental, but always has a hot dish as well as boiled eggs and Belgian waffles. "Parking was conveniently outside the hotel entrance and we were greeted in the lobby. Our check-in was quickly finished and our breakfast (s) and needs for the next couple of nights recorded. Fantastic room with modern and useful amenities. The structure of the original brick building with custom designs in each room. Quiet and cozy with beverages and snacks for guests. Five star restaurant across the street with many downtown eateries within walking distance. Perfect hotel to enjoy Wooster. "

"We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. When we arrived, it appeared that people were living there, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. The pool was in terrible condition—the water was so cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom. There were broken windows around the property, and the overall condition was nothing like what was advertised. The listing advertised breakfast, but there was no breakfast available. We were also surprised to be charged a $60 damage deposit upon arrival...

"Noteworthy: check in early and Be sure to book directly with the hotel, not a 3rd party booking site even though for 2 rooms, it was $400 cheaper. I hope our experience was a one-off. We were confronted upon check-in with little slips of paper and numbers to call to deal with a glitch caused by the third party online booking. "A unique property , no o site parking cause apparently they only had horses when it was built :) but the free town parking lot is 20yrd from the rear entrance. Grear location foe visiting the Amish sites and towns.Has its own Tavern which serves food but we walked touthe Cider press a few yards down rhe road and thenold brewery a few yaeds up the road. quaint town centre . Hotel is on a busy crossroads lots of truck traffic so can be noisy but didnt bother us. couldnt be beaten locally foer...
