"We loved the lovely view from our room and the friendly and informative staff. The wild roosters and peacocks were noisy in the mornings but we found it more amusing than annoying. The continental breakfast was simple: fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, croissants, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and the like. One hazard was the aggressive chickens stealing food from the outdoor tables; we found that it was best to have no empty chairs near the table for them to use to get on the table. This older-style hotel was a good base for exploring Kaua'i. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas can be checked out, although there really wasn't a beach easily accessible from the hotel (twenty-five minute walk and hard to find). Overall, we wished that we had stayed longer! "
